Biog
Brian started his career at the BBC, then as a journalist at Thames TV. He then worked as a professional cartoonist for a while, under the unlikely pen name of Mollusc. In 1991 his play The Moon’s Not a Virgin Anymore was produced on the Edinburgh fringe, and since then he’s worked more or less full time as a comedy writer. Brian was a commissioned writer on Simon Pegg’s first TV sketch shows Six Pairs of Pants and We Know Where You Live. He then co-wrote and co-produced the Channel 4 comedy series Pets. Brian’s first novel Sex On Legs scored a world first in 2006 when it became a premium download audiobook without first going into print. Brian has worked as editor of the BBC Comedy web site, and he’s currently co-presenting a critically acclaimed podcast on iTunes The Sowerby & Luff Show, which is sponsored by Kalashnikov Vodka.
